Created in 1999, the Quartier international de Montréal (QIM) is a non-profit organization that sprung from the desire of the Montréal community, under the leadership of the Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec, to give the city a prestigious district of world calibre: the QIM project. Praised by local and international communities, the project and the QIM organization have already earned several awards and distinctions.
Driven by the pursuit of quality and encouraged by the recognition of excellence bestowed on the project, the QIM also undertook in 2005 the redevelopment of McGill Street, which now serves as a new bridge between Old Montréal, the Multimedia City, the Quartier international de Montréal, Old Montréal and the Lachine Canal.
